Digital hearing aids have superior sound quality, can be fully automatic and are programmable. Simply, by connecting it to a computer hearing professionals can make essential adjustments to address your individual needs. Analog hearing aids are usually the least expensive option. We have something for every budget.
Technology has modernized digital hearing aids, but you still need trusted hearing healthcare professionals to research and compare hearing aids to optimize sound performance to your personal needs. There are five main styles of hearing aids that the Bravo! Hearing Centre recommends:
- Behind the ear hearing aids – sound travels from behind the ear hearing aid down a tube to an earmold providing maximum amplification. Usually chosen for severe to profound hearing loss as they deliver a lot of power.
- In the ear hearing aids – custom-made plastic shells esthetically fit in the outer ear to help mild to severe hearing loss patients.
- In the canal hearing aids - custom-made to fit almost entirely inside the ear canal.
- Completely in the canal hearing aids – virtually invisible fit inside the ear canal.
- Open-fit, open ear solutions- miniature behind the ear hearing aids with a slim, tinny tube connecting the hearing aid with ear canal, chosen for high frequency hearing loss patients. They eliminate the occluded “talking in a barrel” effect.
- Children’s hearing aids - infants as young as 4 weeks old can be fitted so a child’s development is not affected
Let us help you make informed decisions about your hearing future and once again enjoy the sounds around you with the Bravo! Hearing Centre in Toronto.
